Project Description

The project will rehabilitate about 1,200 kilometers (km) of rural roads in ten provinces (Thbom Khmom, Kampong Cham, Kampong Thom, Kampong Chhnang, Pursat, Battambang, Kampong Speu, Siem Reap, Banteay Meanchey, and Takeo) to paved condition to provide a safer, cost-effective rural road network, with all-year access to markets and other social services. The project will also support a sustainable road maintenance regime in the Ministry of Rural Development (MRD), a community based road safety program, an HIV/AIDS and human trafficking prevention and awareness program, and climate change adaptaion measures in isolated Mekong River island culster.
