Project Description
Inland water transport traffic between Bokeo and Luang Prabang, in terms of goods and passengers, is growing steadily. There is an urgent need to construct a good river port in Luang Prabang that has necessary handling equipment and warehouses.
Progress (as of March 2021)
Proposed. Construction Agreement has been signed with a Chinese firm since 2015. Fund mobilization is expected in 2020. MPWT requested a loan to the Chairman of the Lao- China Cooperation Committee on 5/6/2020
