Webinar on Digital Health Solutions for COVID-19 Vaccinations in the Greater Mekong Subregion

The Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Health Cooperation Working Group and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) is organizing a webinar on 28 September 2021 via virtual conferencing to discuss evidence-based practices, achievements, and challenges of using digital technology for COVID-19 vaccinations with GMS stakeholders. Digital solutions will be showcased using examples from all over the world, with a view to identifying areas of regional collaboration for ADB support.

7th Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Summit

The summit is the highest forum in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Economic Cooperation Program where the leaders from the six GMS countries can (i) review and assess the progress made under the program; (ii) renew their commitment to subregional cooperation and its goals; (iii) provide support at the highest political level to the program, its projects, and activities; and (iv) provide broad directions for landmark initiatives under the GMS Program. GMS summits are normally held every 3 years.

GMS Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Program Inception Workshop

The Asian Development Bank, with the support of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Working Group on Environment (WGE), is hosting the GMS Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Program (CCESP) Inception Workshop on 23 September at 1:00–5:45 p.m. (Bangkok time, GMT +7) and 24 September at 1:00–6:00 p.m. (Bangkok time, GMT +7), via Zoom.

Covid-19 Food Security Response and Recovery Actions in the GMS

This workshop on COVID-19 Food Security Response and Recovery Actions in the GMS to be held on 1 September 2021 will present the first Knowledge Product (KP1) of the Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security Program technical assistance (TA 9916), offering an up-to-date overview of COVID-19 risks and responses and their implications for agri-food value chains around the GMS.
