The People’s Republic of China has been a leader in the Greater Mekong Subregion, through GMS members Yunnan Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. These two areas have helped link the People’s Republic of China’s powerful economy to GMS countries, and deliver Chinese knowledge and expertise to other GMS nations.
