Project Description

The TA will focus on enhancing competitiveness of highland agriculture by piloting models such as Kok Nang Na integrated farming systems that will change slash and burn practices to sustainable highland agriculture practices. The TA is aligned with 20 National Strategy including the King Rama 9-s philosophy. TA will build technical and institutional capacities to assess vulnerabilities, demonstrate climate- smart agriculture practices and digital technologies for traceability of agri-food products, and support local governments to integrate climate change concerns in agricultural planning.




Progress (as of March 2021)

Ongoing. The project was approved by the Government of Japan on 19 May 2020 and by ADB Management on 19 June 2020. The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) by Office of Agricultural Economics Thailand will arrange a signing ceremony between MOAC and ADB in August 2020 to con- firm implementation arrangements for the KSTA.
