Project Description

Financing health care for migrants. Includes development of financing scheme, broadening UHC coverage to include migrants, developing and implementing service provision packages for migrants




Progress (as of March 2021)

Proposed. Proposed loan breakdown: Cambodia-20.0 Lao PDR-16.0 Myanmar-36.0 (expected to be implemented in 2022). Thailand would like to participate in this project as a development partner who could provide know-how and best practice of UHC with neighboring countries. Concept paper finalized. A consulting firm was engaged to provide technical inputs in the development of the HMIS for public hospitals, a national health ID system that would integrate other existing health MIS in Cambodia. The firm is also expected to develop a mobile applica- tion for community mapping and health information dissemination. Individual consultants have been engaged to undertake project preparations and due diligence. Project is for approval by ADB Board in Q3 2021.
