Project Description
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) approved this technical assistance (TA) to support continuous monitoring of the implementation of the social safeguards programs of the Nam Theun 2 Hydroelectric Project (the NT2 project). The NT2 project had designed comprehensive social safeguard programs aimed to restore and improve livelihoods of the project affected people and mitigate its impacts. The TA thus monitored progress towards all social and environmental targets specified in the concession agreement.
