Project Description

The proposal regarding Rail Link (SKRL main line) - is for a standard gauge track between the PRC and Viet Nam systems. Viet Nam is funding a feasibility study, and the PRC and Viet Nam are conducting bilateral discussions regarding the actual route and the points where the line would cross the border.

Progress (as of March 2021)

Proposed. Viet Nam has completed the plan of the new railway section link Lao Cai station (Viet Nam) - North Hekou station (China) and sent to the National Railway Administration of China to unify and negotiate the signing of the Agreement. The Draft Final Report for the planning of standard gauge Rail from Lao Cai to Ha Noi to Haiphong is being finalized by China.
