Cambodia Business Council, Thai Subcontracting Promotion Association Ink Cooperation Agreement

The Cambodia Business Council (CBC) in Bangkok and Thai Subcontracting Promotion Association (Thai Subcon) signed a memorandum of understanding to facilitate private sector cooperation by jointly organizing and developing business, investment, and trade-related activities to promote and expand members’ business networks in Cambodia and Thailand, as well as exchange relevant information and support marketing channels to promote cultural and social connectivity. The MoU also hopes to build momentum for Cambodia’s 2021-2023 Economic-Diplomacy Strategy. Cambodian Ambassador to Thailand Ouk Sorphorn presided over the signing on 13 July.

Thai Subcon comprises more than 500 members from a broad range of industrial clusters. Its vision is to develop members’ capacity for high-tech production and marketing, and build up a global network by linking their businesses to state departments and local and international organizations.

The newly-established CBC aims to provide a platform for companies eyeing to start a business in Cambodia. It was set up to help forge strong relations with business alliances and support members of Thai-Cambodia business community, and promote their interests to policy makers.
