Longbang Border Crossing becomes Gateway for Thai Fruit Exports to PRC

The Longbang border crossing in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (GZAR) of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), connected to the Tra Linh border gate in Cao Bang, Viet Nam, has become the sixth land port in GZAR for transshipment of Thai fruits. This milestone was solidified in May 2025 with the export of six containers of durian from Thailand totaling 96 metric tons.

Honing Project Management Skills to Achieve Development Goals

Thirty-nine government officials and specialists joined this year’s Regional Training in Project Management organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Bangkok from 5 to 9 May. The training program is designed to support the Brunei Darussalam–Indonesia–Malaysia–Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA), Indonesia–Malaysia–Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT), and the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) in project planning and implementation. It fosters a results-based project management approach that aligns projects to sector strategies.


Fostering Digital Farmers through Viet Nam's Digital Transformation in Agriculture

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Viet Nam has initiated a Digital Transformation Project for the Agriculture sector for 2021–2025, with a view to 2030. This project is built on three foundational pillars: digital government, digital agricultural economy, and digital countryside, all aimed at fostering the emergence of "digital farmers."
