The Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Regional Investment Framework 2024–2026 (RIF 2026) is the subsequent 3-year rolling pipeline of projects of the GMS Program. It is comprised of 128 projects across the countries and sectors of the GMS program. The projects in the RIF 2026 will require mobilizing financial resources amounting to $17.7 billion from development partners, the private sector, and the countries’ national and regional budgets.

The strategy development focal points from the Greater Mekong Subregion's Working Group on Health Cooperation met in Bangkok on 20–21 February 2024 to finalize the Greater Mekong Subregion Health Cooperation Strategy 2024–2030. Approval of the new regional strategy is anticipated in Q2,2024.

Building a Strong and Cohesive GMS Community with a Shared Future towards Resilient Economic Development

The 2nd Meeting of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Energy Transition Task Force (ETTF-2) was held in Siem Reap, Cambodia on 4-5 December 2023 in a hybrid format. ETTF-2 was followed by a training on regional power market for the GMS Regional Power Trade Working Group (RPTWG) on 6 December 2023.

ADB and the National Health Commission of People’s Republic of China convened the 6th Greater Mekong Subregion Working Group on Health Cooperation Meeting on 13-15 December 2023 in Beijing.

The Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) countries convened the first Meeting of the GMS Energy Transition Task Force (ETTF) in a hybrid format (with in-person attendance in Manila, Philippines and via web-based conferencing) on 13-14 June 2023.

The Fifth Meeting of the GMS Working Group on Health Cooperation (WGHC-5) was held on 13–14 December 2022 in Siem Reap, Cambodia. WGHC-5 was co-organized by the Ministry of Health of Cambodia and ADB.

The 51st GMS Tourism Working Group Meeting (TWG-51) was held on 25 April 2023 in Preah Sihanouk, Cambodia. It was hosted by the Government of Cambodia and co-organized by the Cambodia Ministry of Tourism, and the Mekong Tourism Coordinating Office (MTCO). The meeting was attended by senior and mid-level officials representing the National Tourism Organizations of the six GMS countries, MTCO, development partners and organizations, including the ASEAN Japan Centre, Asian Development Bank (ADB) and private sector, including China Ready. 

Following heavy losses of passenger traffic due to COVID-19, the resurgence of Southeast Asia's aviation market is vital to regional recovery, so this report reveals strategies to help ADB members rebuild a greener, more resilient aviation industry.
